JCP takes 44 girls and 28 boys in Reception each year. These children are organised into 3 classes of 24 in each class.
The first requirement for admission is to complete an online registration form. A non-refundable registration fee of £80 is payable with the completed registration form. Online registration forms can be found below.
Completed registration forms must only be submitted within the registration timeframe as indicated above. Please note that applications for registration after the deadline date will not be eligible. The children are not assessed academically for Reception entry. The ballot will take place in the October/November following the Registration deadline. Please read our Admissions Policy for full details on the priorities for the ballot and other details in respect to admissions.
Entry to Key Stage 2
JCP usually offers 5 additional places for girls from other primary schools to start at the beginning of Key Stage 2 every year. There is no sibling priority at 7+.
Places are gained through an assessment process, which will also include information from the pupil's current school. Students are expected to be achieving age related expectation or above.
Applications will not be accepted before the pupils have started in Year 2 in the September prior to when they start Year 3.
The admissions process begins once the College you have completed the online application form for your daughter, together with an administration fee of £80.00. You can find the links to our Application forms below.
Registration means that your child will be added to our list of applicants, and we will keep in contact with you regarding your application. Registration does not guarantee admission to the College.
- With effect from February 2023 7+ entry for Year 3 2028 will no longer apply.
We are now taking applications for Year 3 2025. Please note the deadline for these applications is Friday 13th December 2024.

Policies
Securing your child's place
Once an offer has been made by the College, a non-refundable deposit of £400 is payable to secure your child’s place and this is offset against the first term’s fees.
Notice required to be given in advance of a student leaving the College
A full term’s notice from parents is required if a student is to be withdrawn from the school roll, failing which, a full term’s fees will be charged.
Entry to JCG
Due to the close relationship between the two schools as one College, the admission procedures from JCP to JCG will be different from other Island feeder schools. Children from JCP have the right of automatic transfer into JCG.
Entry to JCG from JCP is based on all JCP fees being paid at the time of leaving JCP. Any outstanding debt will result in the JCG place being withdrawn.
Warning Indicators
Should the Headteacher or Principal have concerns about the appropriateness of a place at JCG, a meeting with parents will be arranged.
